AFANWI CHARITY RELIEF AID VISIT TO DIXON HALL SHELTER TORONTO ON JULY 15th, 2024.
Early June 2024, Mr. Cheo Jude, the CEO and founder of AFANWI CHARITY RELIEF AID
(AFCHAID), made some contact with Ms. Zefanie Smith, the client intervention worker at Dixon
who linked up AFANWI CHARITY RELIEF AID and Mr Angelo, who is the manager at Shelter
Dixon.
On July 15th, AFANWI CHARITY RELIEF AID visited Shelter DIXON HALL 351 LAKESHORE
BLV EAST, a homeless, poor, and needy shelter in the local community. This shelter is managed
by Mr Angelo.
Prior to the visit, AFANWI CHARITY RELIEF AID had arranged for a substantial donation of
clean water to be delivered to the shelter. They understood the vital importance of access to
clean drinking water for the shelter’s residents.
As AFCHAID arrived at the shelter, they were warmly welcomed by Ms Zefanie and Mr Angelo.
The shelter manager expressed his deep gratitude for the water donation, as it would help
ensure the residents had a reliable source of hydration during the hot summer months. He was
so glad and mentioned that they had never had such a visit.
AFCHAID had more in store; we also brought an abundance of blankets and warm clothing
added to the water supply to distribute to the shelter’s clients. As we began handing out these
essential items, the residents’ faces lit up with relief and appreciation.
Throughout the visit, AFCHAID was struck by Angelo’s unwavering appreciation of AFANWI’s
gesture, supporting the shelter’s residents and providing them with the resources they needed
to improve their lives.
The shelter manager’s was so glad by the dedication and the positive impact the AFANWI
CHARITY RELIEF AID’s contributions were making.
As the visit came to an end, AFANWI CHARITY RELIEF AID assured the resident at the shelter
that this was just the beginning of an ongoing partnership. He pledged to continue supporting
the shelter’s efforts and explore additional ways the charity could make a lasting difference in
the lives of the homeless, poor, and needy individuals in the community.
The visit was a testament to the power of compassion and the transformative impact that can be
achieved when organizations like AFANWI CHARITY RELIEF AID work hand-in-hand with
dedicated locals like Shelter DIXON HALL at 351 LAKESHORE BLV EAST to uplift and empower those in need.
